2006 was the first year for Medieval World at Warwick Castle, and what a memorable season it was.
The show ground was on the "Island", the site of one of the country's few licensed original tiltyards. Set in the finest Medieval Castle in the Country the whole site is rife with historical facts and folklore. Warwick is open everyday except Christmas Day, and the jousting took place on three days in May 28th, 29th and the 30th. The whole show then ran from the 23rd of July to the 3rd of September inclusive.
Audiences came from far and wide to experience the Medieval atmosphere generated by the show and word soon got around about the adrenalin fuelled jousting that took place with many visitors returning again throughout the season.
